The Weird Sisters’ Project

The Weird Sis­ters’ Pro­ject is a dance per­form­ance. Three men-women, three demons of fate placed on ped­es­tals in the middle of the vis­it­ors’ pathway.
The per­formers con­struct a slow ritu­al dance inspired by tra­di­tion­al South­east Asi­an dances. For two hours, they sculpt space and time from with­in the con­straints imposed on their bod­ies and faces. Like the witches har­anguing Macbeth, the vis­it­ors must con­front the per­formers to pass through this ghostly place.

    Per­form­ance choré­graph­ique in situ, The weird sis­ters’ pro­ject d’Al­ban Richard souligne les élé­ments du lieu qu’elle hante. Trio de démons, chaque per­formeur, sur son piédestal, vient peupler l’espace de mouve­ments lents et expres­sifs. Comme les trois têtes grim­açantes d’une étrange entité composite.
